Research Validates the Effectiveness of LabTest Checker by Labplus®: Results Published in Prestigious JMIR Medical Informatics

We continuously develop our system for interpreting test results, ensuring its versatility and accuracy. Our efforts are not limited to just expanding the range of interpreted tests or increasing sensitivity in detecting abnormalities. A key element of development is also verifying the system’s performance through rigorous scientific studies.

Publication of Research Results

In collaboration with scientists from the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice and the Medical University of Wrocław, we conducted a study on the effectiveness of LabTest Checker. The results, published in the industry journal JMIR Medical Informatics, unequivocally confirm the accuracy and safety of our system in analyzing results and supporting diagnostics.

This study represents another step in our efforts to keep LabTest Checker a modern and reliable tool, supporting the diagnostic process based on the latest medical advancements.

Key Findings from the Study – LTC Achievements

  • Precise medical triage: The system achieved 74.3% accuracy in determining the urgency of medical cases. Its use in medical triage at the laboratory testing stage positively impacts time and resource management in medical facilities.
  • Reliable patient safety: The system demonstrated 100% sensitivity in detecting cases requiring immediate medical intervention and 92.3% sensitivity for urgent cases, providing significant assistance in saving patients’ health and lives.
  • Significant optimization of medical visits: LTC effectively identifies cases where a doctor’s visit is unnecessary, potentially reducing the number of unnecessary medical visits by up to 41.6%. This significantly saves time for both patients and medical staff.
  • High diagnostic precision: The system achieved 82.9% accuracy in identifying the underlying causes of abnormal test results. It is useful not only for patients but also provides support for doctors at the beginning of the diagnostic process.

Dr. Siddarth Agrawal, MD, PhD, CEO of Labplus, enthusiastically comments:

We are immensely proud of the results of this study. They confirm that LabTest Checker is not only an innovative technological tool but, above all, a safe and extremely effective assistant in the diagnostic process. This is a milestone towards more accessible, efficient, and personalized healthcare.

Ambitious Plans for the Future

The publication of the study results in the prestigious JMIR Medical Informatics is just the beginning of an exciting journey for LabTest Checker and the entire Labplus team. Our plans for the future are ambitious:

  1. Conducting extended clinical trials: We have signed a strategic consortium agreement with the Medical University of Silesia, which will enable large-scale, multi-center clinical trials. These will cover diverse patient groups and a wide range of medical specialties, allowing for even more accurate validation of LTC’s effectiveness in various clinical contexts.
  2. Intensive development of new functionalities: We continue intensive work on developing the LTC system, focusing on increasing its effectiveness and comprehensiveness. We plan to introduce innovative modules, including an advanced system for comprehensive health prevention.
  3. Dynamic international expansion: We are proud to announce plans for collaboration with initial medical partners in markets in Spain, Italy, and Romania. We are actively adapting the system to local standards and medical practices, which will allow for effective implementation of LTC in various healthcare systems.
